Everything from the gameplay to the story is meant to put your mind to the test, both with problem solving and morality. The journey you embark on will take you on a wild ride that may even leave you with a tear in your eye at the end. Viewfinder is a first-person puzzle adventure game where perspective means everything. Recently, I was fortunate enough to be presented with a copy of Viewfinder to review (thank you, Sad Owl Studios), and what I experienced was nothing short of beautiful. Though the reveal trailer for Viewfinder didn’t hint at much of a story, we were given a new perspective for games to come in 2023. Immediately, I was reminded of the game The Witness by Thekla Inc., another first-person puzzle adventure game that had a deep, underlying narrative. Man this sucks and needs to be addressed.When Viewfinder first crossed my radar during the 2022 Game Awards, I was intrigued to say the least. Load the auto-save that corresponds to this time stamp from the main menu and it'll load your old save instead. sav file from your Desktop copy, rename it to be "HL-00-10.sav" and place it into the real Saved Games folder, overwriting the original. While the game is running, grab the most recent. These files are created in the Saved Games folder called "HL-00-10.sav" The number increments higher as they save. If you check the main menu you'll see that you can load the auto-saves that have already been made for this character. Restart the game, create a character, and let it play out until you're given control after all the intial cutscenes. On Steam it's here: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\ If this happens immediately quit your game, navigate to the save folder and make a copy to your desktop. Here's the solution I originally gleaned from /u/thealchemist229 in one of the threads. If you let the new character play out, it will quickly overwrite your old saves. There is a fix, but with the way the game auto-saves. I googled it and found many people with the same issue. Manually saved last night, started the game this evening and was greeted with a fresh new game screen.
